Meet Rachael
Founder and Lead Counsellor
Hello, thank you for coming to read my profile and learn about me and my counselling practice. You can see some of my feedback from my clients here too.
I know how challenging it can be taking that first step into counselling and how difficult it can be finding a counsellor that is the best ‘fit’ for you once you start your journey.
I have been through this same journey myself when I decided to seek counselling, and I understand personally how it feels to take these initial steps in seeking help. I know how vulnerable and emotionally difficult it can be sitting in front of a stranger to talk about your innermost feelings and discuss what is worrying you and holding you back in life.
So let me take this moment to tell you about how I work and the type of counselling I provide for people experiencing issues like anxiety, low self-worth, depression, persistent negativity and unhappiness with their lives.
I specialise in person-centred counselling, which means that during a session we will work together, talking through major issues, key events and, importantly, key people in your life. These factors are foundational and profoundly shape a person’s emotional state and mental wellbeing throughout their life. They influence how people see themselves and how they interact and respond to other people and events that happen in their lives.
My role is to immerse myself in your world and begin to understand your perspective, so that I can help you identify recurring behaviours and emotional patterns, and help you acknowledge the ways in which your own actions play an important role in shaping your life. I will help you recognise the root cause of these patterns and help you develop strategies to overcome them - to learn to be truer to your own self and how you want to live your life.
Our counselling sessions are a shared experience led by your needs and the themes and events you feel ready to discuss and explore. It is a process of discovery and healing. My aim is to help you move forward with your life, to learn self-acceptance and to lead a happier and more positive life in the future.
Many of the clients I help are experiencing, stress, depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, sadness or low self-worth but you can see the other types of counselling we will help you with at Omega Counselling, here .
If you need to find out more about Omega Counselling services in Manchester, Standish or Wigan then please get in touch, we want to help people lead happier and more positive lives.
